Here is list of those 5 best software which I think are necessary for a windows user. These tools will increase your productivity and make your experience better than before.
1. Ueli
(by Electron)
It is a tool to search files on
your computer or directly from google, without using windows 10 search. Unlike
Windows 10 search, which shows Bing results on searching something which is
very annoying and is very limited in functionality, it is very customizable and
easy to use. You can set your on-keyboard shortcut (or use Alt+space)to launch it and it pops out
instantly. It is like spotlight in macOS. I’m using it for more than 2 years
now.
It is available free for both
Windows and macOS with a lot of features like Application Search, Browser
bookmarks search, Calculator, currency convert, email, etc. Long story short
you can do a lot with just a key stroke which is very useful.
You can download it for free on
your PC or Mac right now, from the download link here,
2. QuickLook
(by Paddy Xu)
This small utility brigs a very
handy feature and makes your life a bit easier on Windows 10. Windows 10
built-in Photos app is good but it takes a lot of time to load a picture which
is very annoying for me but QuickLook makes the preview very easy. Hit space
bar after selecting a picture and it will load it’s preview within a second,
which is super handy. It works with a lot of different file formats including
pictures, videos, text files, PDFs, etc. You can have the preview of anything
by just pressing space from your keyboard and if you hit space bar again the
preview disappears.
You can download it for free on
your PC, it is available in Microsoft store, download link is here,
3. VLC
(by VideoLan Organization)
It is the well-known media player
for windows and macOS from long time. Windows 10 built-in media player is good
but VLC gives you a ton of different controls and shortcuts. It is very easy to
use and most of people are aware of it.
You can download it for free on
your PC or Mac right now, from the download link here,
4. winRAR
(by RARLAB)
Well it is also free software and
is serving a lot of people from a long time. It is for compression and
extraction of files. You can compress a file to reduce it size and the process
is very easy. As for as the extraction goes, you can extract any file by just
right-clicking and then extract.
You can download it from the link
given here,
5. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
(by Adobe)
Well it is specially for students
which often have to deal with PDFs (Portable Document Formats). It has the same
interface as Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but it has some limitations like you can’t
edit a PDF or make your own. But it also offers a lot of options same
as the Pro Version, which is great. You have the feature of DC (Document
Cloud), you can install adobe acrobat app on your mobile and connect with the
PC and a lot more. It will provide you a seamless environment. Definitely, check this out it is awesome.
