1) Select a New Document.
2) Go to the Home Tab > Styles and select Title from there. Write your title, as you want. You are free to customize it but keep it simple.
3) Press enter and then Select the Heading 1 from the Styles Tab. Write your heading there.
4) You can Customize your heading in a number of different ways, but keep it as simple as possible.
• Now, if you are writing a long report which includes multiple headings, hover over the Heading 1 again and right-click. There will be a small menu, on top of which is an amazing option as Update Heading 1 to Match Selection, click on it and from now every heading you want to have there will be formatted like the first, which is very handy. For sub-headings you can use other pre-build styles and apply the same process on them too.
5) Then Write about your topic in the relative heading. You can use tool to manage the paragraphs in Paragraph Tab.
6) For Inserting a Picture in a document, there are two ways:
• Copy a Picture form your computer or any website and Paste it where you want.
• Go to Insert Tab then Illustrations then click at the small arrow under Pictures and
i. Select This Device, for selecting any picture from your device.
ii. Select Online Pictures, for selecting any picture online (in this case you should have an internet connection).
7) After inserting your picture, first thing you should do is to Place it on a good location on page. Well, for that select the picture and you will see a Format Tab on the ribbon. Click there and you will see a lot of image format tools. There go to Arrange then Wrap text then Square. Now you can place your picture on any spot by just dragging it.
8) Go to the Size in Format Tab and by using the up and down arrows on right side you can adjust the Height and Width of your picture, as the way you want.
9) Now comes the most important part, in which a lot of people feel difficulty, well I’m talking about making Tables. Believe me it is super easy if you follow these steps:
• Firstly, go to the Insert Tab then Tables then click at the small arrow under Table and select a 3×1 table, by just moving your pointer.
(Well you can add your desired number of columns but it is super easy to start with only 1 row.)
• Now, add your table headers there, then add second row but remember you can always Merge two or more cells to make a single cell and Split a cell into two or more cells, according to your needs. Then complete the data, by adding more and more rows in the table.
• Then select the whole table and you will see two extra tabs up there as Design and Layout.
i. Go to Layout Tab then Alignment and set the text alignment within a cell, which suits you best.
ii. Go to Design Tab then Table Styles and choose a suitable style for your able which also matches the theme of document.
• Then if you notice any Unbalance between the width of columns or rows you can fix them by selecting them and going to Layout Tab then Cell Size and selecting Distribute Columns or Distribute Rows.
10) And you can also add a Table of Content in start of your long reports by going to References then Table of Contents then selecting from drop-down menu Automatic Table 1. All the headings and sub-headings will be automatically there if you followed the above process.
11) Finally, Save your Assignment by pressing Ctrl + S or by going to File then Save. Your assignment is ready now.
